Arthouse X
Art House Show X was the biggest event ArtHouse has put on yet—hosted in a downtown Tulsa warehouse that was almost split into two distinct sections, packed with talented artists from Tulsa and beyond. I had the honor of helping to set the tone for some of the second section, and it honestly turned into a night I’ll always remember—one of those shows where the energy in the room feels bigger than the building.
My main installation for the space was a large chrome head piece: half skull on one side, and a hand form on the other, built big enough to hold the DJ table inside the mouth. I only had about two days before the show to build it specifically for that location, and the budget was tight for something at that scale—so I had to get resourceful. I used a scaffold I already owned as the internal structure, then built out the form with chicken wire and tons of aluminum foil to sculpt the shape, letting lighting do a lot of the heavy lifting to bring it to life and set the vibe.
Alongside the installation, I showed two canvases—We LuvCats and Duality—and I also brought out the car I had painted for Bluntz during a modded meetup downtown. On top of that, I was part of the runway show with OFA, collaborating with Laziz to create outfits for two models, which made the night feel even more full-circle: installation, painting, design, and community all in one place.
