East Central High School

This is a collaboration piece with Spencer Plumlee, a really dope artist in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This project was made possible by a friend who was working there at the time. Here, we wanted to bring out the school spirit with the mascot, the cardinal. We combined each other’s style in this piece, each taking on different parts. I wanted to show a bit of can control skill by accomplishing what looked like a complex piece — a mixture of realism with blends, cuts, and clean lines. I also wanted to add something cool, the graff side in this piece.

Around this time I was beginning to try and expand and collaborate with other artists in different mediums and styles of work. It was interesting and great learning experience to see how other artists worked and went about it.

We also got to present our work to the students as they were doing a career day. On this day, we got to talk to them about our process and what it was like to be working as an artist.
