Love is Blind

This was a 8’x8’ canvas I stretched. After this one, I began to get into building my own large canvases — seeing as how expensive it was to but one of that size! I’ve helped build houses, I knew I could make this happen. This piece was later bought by an event promotor, Sunlab, in Tulsa Oklahoma, with a few modification requests. Building these was a way to get something inside of an exhibit of somewhat the fraction of a mural, but still large. Working with spray cans, you kind of have a limit of how small you can go while keeping details away from distorting. I can work wit brushes, but it’s something about working with spray can that just allows me to work faster.

The title for this piece speaks for itself. It includes my name scattered, and a symbol of religion for some background. Love is blind and can truly blind.

This piece also went on to be in multiple exhibits hosted by Living arts, Arts @ 301, a breakdance competition, and many other events before finding a home with Sunlab.

You can click here for a video featuring this piece on instagram. Here is another. And another here. There’s a few more but that’s enough.
