Michelada | Los Primos

This one was a fun project from beginning to end.
For the mural, I got to do a small photoshoot to create my own reference images before painting, which made the whole process feel a little more involved and personal.
The mural featured a Pacifico bottle alongside a large glass bowl filled with a loaded michelada, complete with garnishes like shrimp, lime, and ice settled at the bottom. That combination gave the piece a lot to work with visual and made it feel especially rich and satisfying once it all started coming together.
I really enjoyed working through all the small details, especially on the bottle and the glass. Those kinds of sections are always satisfying once the highlights, reflections, textures, and colors begin to read cleanly from a distance.
The stucco surface added its own texture, but aerosol worked well for building up the different tones and details throughout the piece.
Of course, working at Los Primos also had its benefits.
I got to enjoy some of their tacos throughout the project and, naturally, try the micheladas too. That definitely made the painting days even better.
This mural was one of those projects where the subject, location, and overall experience all matched the same energy.
Good food, good drinks, and a fun wall to paint.
By the end, the whole thing came together really clean, and I was happy with the result.
