Custom mural, signage, vinyl, and painted graphics

This project for Monarca: Cuisine Tequila Bar gave me the opportunity to bring several different skills together in one space.

Instead of being a single mural, the project consisted of a series of painted graphics, signage, and visual elements throughout the restaurant.

A lot of this work was about precision.

There was plenty of tape work, measuring, laser leveling, masking, and making sure everything landed exactly where it needed to. Depending on the section, I used different methods to get the cleanest result possible.

Some areas were painted traditionally. Others required custom stencils. I also used my plotter to cut vinyl that could either become part of the finished signage or help me create accurate templates for painting.

It was a combination of techniques rather than relying on one method for everything.

Having the equipment available to handle those different parts myself made a big difference. From the design and layout to cutting vinyl, creating stencils, painting, and installation, I had the tools needed to move between each part of the project and execute everything cleanly.

That is something I have enjoyed developing more over time.

Murals are still a major part of what I do, but projects like Monarca allow me to think about the entire space and how artwork, lettering, signage, and branding can work together.

The goal was for everything to feel intentional.

Straight lines needed to actually be straight. Lettering needed to be clean. Placement mattered. Small details mattered.

Sometimes the finished result looks simple, but getting something to look simple and clean can require some of the most preparation.

I am excited to see Monarca open its doors.

The restaurant is bringing something new to the area and aiming to take the Mexican dining experience here to another level. It was cool getting to contribute to the space before opening and watch some of that identity begin to take shape.
