This mural came together thanks to Tanner (@iamtherascal), who recommended me to bring a different style to a wall he was also working on at Hard Body Gym.
The project gave me an opportunity to create an 8 by 20 foot bodybuilder mural using aerosol, while adding my own approach to the space and complementing the work already being done.
One of the biggest challenges was the environment itself. Hard Body Gym was an active 24/7 gym, which meant figuring out how to work with aerosol while the space remained open and members continued coming in to train. It required us to adapt, work around the activity of the gym, and find a way to get the piece completed without having the luxury of an empty workspace.
It was a challenge, but we got it done.
Projects like this continued to push me into new environments and taught me how to adapt my process to the space around me. Every wall came with a different set of circumstances, and this one was no exception.
